Explore Stephen Wohleber’s hand drawn architectural buildings from 10th to Mid-19th Century, each one described as though to be made as a reliquary, or decorative object in miniature, as though each were a life-size drawing of the intended structure. This 12th Century print depicts a German brickwork shrine to be made all of silver with alternate courses in gilt with windows of chapleve enamel and all finials and crockets of jade, mounted on a base of polished red granite. The doors also of jade.
